Join us this Friday to celebrate summer, the blooming berries and bringing our boats out onto the river! We will be down at Rick's Point from 5pm on. Please come join us!
We ate so many berries and enjoyed the cool weather and whipped cream. Thanks for coming down, and see you next time!
Come to the Hudson waterfront this Friday! Join us, from 5pm on, in making a parade float and getting out on the water. Bring your boats, food to grill and your creativity. See you there!
Tonight we will continue with the completion of the boat: building frames, thwarts, gunwales, inwales, breasthook and quarterknees...
Come by this TONIGHT from 6-9!
We had a wonderful event on Saturday at Kite's Nest to celebrate all of the amazing work that children have been doing this spring! The kids shared their carpentry and boat building skills with parents and friends, tested their small wooden boats in the water and helped Nick caulk the seams of the sailing skiff!
Please donate today!
Thanks so much for your contributions.

Thanks so much to Jon Wang for his amazing work on our video and to Lucy Segar for putting the campaign on Indiegogo!
We are so grateful to the wonderful turnout we had on Friday at The FISH Fry! It was amazing to see so many familiar faces and meet new people who are interested in being coming members of the Sloop Club. Thank you to those of you who made a donation or became members on Friday and we look forward to seeing you soon!
The even was such a success due to the hard and generous work of our Sloop Club volunteers and we want to thank especially: Gavi, Nicole and Jon for harvesting ramps, frying fish and whipping up delicious salads for all, Sean, Margot, Sam, Edwin and Cara for spearheading the membership and donation station and getting the space inside and out looking great! And Brian for documenting the whole thing! And thanks to all of you for coming out!
Last week at Kite's Nest the kids built toolboxes to house the hand-tools they have been learning to use, took an walk down to the waterfront to carve their boat models, told stories and continued to make progress on their skin boat, barge, and sailing skiff with Nick.
In the adult class that evening we used the steam box to bend the kelson, attached the stem, stem knee, and transom.
